NaimUSA, exclusive U.S. distributor of Naim music and home cinema equipment, is proud to announce the “Naim for Bentley” partnership,
in conjunction with Naim Audio and Bentley Motors Limited.
After 18 months of research and development, the result is a world-beating audio system that remains true to both Bentley and Naim’s philosophy of no compromise in the search for quality.
The “Naim for Bentley” partnership was formally announced on Bentley’s stand at the 78th International Motor Show (http://www.salon-auto.ch/en), at the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. Naim Audio took part in the show with a special Naim Experience Room sited on the Bentley stand (#1261 in Halls 1-2), where they demonstrated the full 500 Series system to Bentley’s VIP guests.
Naim Audio Managing Director Paul Stephenson said: “At least 30 years of experience in manufacturing, high-end, high-fidelity products has earned Naim Audio an unparalleled, reputation for excellent sound reproduction, reliability and build quality. This exclusive relationship with Bentley has tested all of Naim’s technical engineering skills to reproduce a distinct live concert-like experience in the hostile environment of the car.”
“Every electrical component used within the system is specified by Naim to meet the highest engineering tolerances – at speeds of up to 200 miles an hour.”
Bentley Motors Chairman and Chief Executive Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen said: “Our customers expect the ultimate in every experience when they commission a Bentley.”
“The ‘Naim for Bentley’ sound system delivers the world’s ultimate in-car audio experience – allowing for an ‘as-live’ audio entertainment that is as pure as the Bentley driving experience itself.”
NaimUSA will also participate with an Experience Room at the New York International Auto Show (http://www.autoshowny.com) March 21st-30th, 2008, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, on the Bentley stand (Booth 704 on Level Three), to include a full 500 Series system + NS01 music server.

Thanks to all who joined us in Las Vegas for CES–we have even more showcase events planned for 2008!

We featured a variety of new products, including the SUPERLINE reference phono stage (in conjunction with an Avid Volvere turntable with ARO tonearm), the SUPERNAIT, and the recently revised Series 5 (italic) range.

The n-Vi, with its most recent software updates, was also on display with n-SERIES loudspeakers.
The NaimNet NS01 music server was also on display in two rooms (this product is a custom-integration oriented, headless-server variant of the forthcoming NaimNet NS03 hard disk player, shown below with front-panel touchscreen).

For any trade or dealer inquiries, please contact us in Chicago. Press releases for the event are available here.

The first pallets of the newly revised CD5i (italic) Compact Disc player have now arrived from the U.K.
The CD5i (italic) has been re-designed to offer spectacular performance from an entry-level CD player– although the player looks physically identical to its predecessor, the CD5i, it benefits from a significant re-design in key areas, after extensive listening tests.
The CD5i features a Wolfson WM8706 DAC, powered by a dedicated, regulated supply, with critical component changes and circuit optimization further downstream.
The CD5i maintains the key musical attributes of its predecessor, while improving upon the sonic performance that has made the Series 5i range remarkably successful. As with the CD5i, great care has been taken in both the mechanical and electrical environments of the player to maximize performance, from the low-inertia CLAMP5 disc clamp to the swing-arm disc tray.
Bent on performance–the CD5i (italic) is priced at $1,795 USD and comes with a five-year parts and two-year labor warranty in the U.S.

NaimUSA and Audience, LLC are pleased to announce the availability of a new power-distribution product designed to provide Naim systems in the U.S. with superlative AC mains power quality.
The adeptResponse aR6 Power Distribution Center (PDC) is an optimized product, configured in conjunction with NaimUSA after extensive listening tests, based on Audience's aR6 Power Conditioner minus any circuit breakers, passive filtering, or surge suppression.
The adeptResponse aR6 PDC is designed to provide the lowest possible impedance power path, utilizing hand-wired 10-gauge power wire on
a welded buss-bar design. All components have been cryogenically treated, and are mounted in a non-resonant chassis with four small
rubber isolation feet.
Power entry to the rear panel is provided on a Neutrik PowerCon receptacle. We offer a pre-terminated version of our TIBIA AC mains cable (TIBIA-PowerCon, $80) for use with the PDC.
The adeptResponse aR6 PDC is priced at $1,500 USD and comes with a ten-year warranty in the U.S. It is available in both black and silver brushed anodized finishes, and can be ordered through Audience's network of authorized retailers.

The first shipments of Naim’s acclaimed new SUPERNAIT integrated amplifier (with built-in DAC) have arrived in the
U.S.
The SUPERNAIT utilizes Naim’s analog design expertise as exhibited in the NAC282 preamplifier and NAP200 power amplifier, along with jitter-reducing digital reclocking circuitry as originally used in Naim’s DVD5 player.
It features five digital inputs (two coaxial / two optical / one 1/8” mini-optical) feeding a Crystal CS8416 SPDIF receiver, with selective VCXO re-clocking at 44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 / 192 kHz, utilizing a Burr-Brown 24-bit/192kHz multi-bit DAC for conversion. The digital supplies power down when not in use, to provide maximum fidelity for analogue sources.
Six analogue inputs are provided on both Naim’s preferred DIN and industry-standard RCA phono connectors, with a powered socket available for use with Naim’s Stageline phono stages.
The SUPERNAIT provides independent source and record selection, with a buffered tape output suitable for
second-zone use, in addition to an on-board headphone amplifier. Seven separate windings from a custom-designed 400VA toroid
provide eleven discrete linear supplies for digital circuits, relay switching and individual channels of the power amplifier.
The musical performance of the preamplifier section can be upgraded using a FLATCAP2x, HICAP2 or SUPERCAP2 supply, which provides power for the preamplifier input buffer and gain stages.
The SUPERNAIT also provides a bi-amp output DIN-4 socket for use with an external power amplifier (Naim’s own NAP250-2 makes an excellent choice), as well as a buffered subwoofer output on stereo RCA phono sockets.
The SUPERNAIT represents a significant step forward towards the integration of digital source components
(such as network music servers, set-top digital receivers, digital audio workstations) into a high-performance music system,
with fantastic performance in both the analogue and digital domains.
The SUPERNAIT comes with a five-year parts and labor warranty in the U.S.
